I went and hung with 4000 teenagers today and I actually learnt a few things.
Every year Westmead Hospital's Trauma Unit (the people who see road carnage first hand) puts on a huge event at homebush to try and get the message through to young drivers to be more careful.
They hire a bunch of actors to re-enact a crash scenario and at times it can be pretty horrifying. Blood, gore, broken glass, lots of tears and a bit of shouting started to crack the cool facades of a few of the teens around me.
Take a listen to this package I put together after talking to the organisers and some young people.
